A LESSON FOR EVERY MAN LIVING ABROAD πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

The recent reports surrounding Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee and a UK court case have sparked a lot of conversations online.

While reports indicate that a case involving a lady has entered the UK court process, the exact offence has not been publicly disclosed in the court listing, all we see are speculations online

For me, beyond the individual involved, there is a bigger lesson here for men living or travelling abroad. How you behave around women matters.

The way certain interactions may be casually viewed or handled back home may be interpreted very differently under the laws and social expectations of another country.

Consent, personal boundaries, respect and appropriate conduct should never be taken lightly.

You may think you are simply β€œbeing friendly” or β€œhaving fun,” but if the other person feels uncomfortable or believes their boundaries have been crossed, the situation can become very serious.

This is not about judging anyone before the facts are established. It is about reminding ourselves that being abroad comes with responsibility.

Know the laws of the country you live in.
Respect people’s boundaries.
Never assume that something is acceptable simply because you have seen it tolerated elsewhere.

And most importantly, when allegations arise, let the courts determine the facts rather than social media.

Sometimes, the best lesson is learning from someone else’s situation before you find yourself in one.
