3-hour Virtual Meeting, Working In Canada

I just finished a 3-hour virtual meeting with my work supervisor from the comfort of my home

One thing I’ve noticed about working in Canada is that meetings are a big part of the job. Whether they’re in person or virtual, you’re often expected to attend.

The good part? They’re paid meetings. Even if you’re not doing your regular tasks during that time, you’re still being paid for your time even if it’s virtual and from home. I found that quite interesting when I first started working here.

Every workplace and every country has its own work culture, and it’s always interesting to learn something new.

For those living abroad, what’s one thing that surprised you about the workplace in your country? Let’s share experiences and learn from each other
