Would You Pay $160 To Revamp Your Wig Or You Learn The Skill

One thing I’ve realized about living abroad is that having handy skills can save you a lot of money and even become an extra source of income.
Last month, I got the contact of someone in my city who revamps wigs. I wanted to revamp two of my wigs, so I reached out for a quote. When she told me it would cost $160 for both, I immediately had a rethink. 😄
I told her I’d get back to her, and since then I’ve been watching free videos online to learn how to do it myself. Sometimes, the internet can teach you skills that save you hundreds of dollars if you’re willing to learn.
Living abroad has taught me that skills like hairstyling, basic home repairs, sewing, cooking, car maintenance, and even wig revamping can go a long way in helping you save and earn.
What handy skill do you wish you had learned before relocating abroad? And if you’re already abroad, how are you coping with the high cost of services?
Feel free to share one skill that has saved you the most money since relocating. Your answer might help someone else.
