UK-Based Nigerian Says Travel Agent Falsely Listed Woman as His Wife in Visa Application

A UK-based Nigerian, Emmanuel Makinde, has told the FCT High Court in Jabi, Abuja, that his travel agent, Waliyu Shitta, allegedly added a woman as his wife without his knowledge in a visa application processed in 2022.
Makinde made the claim while testifying before the court on Thursday, stating that he only became aware of the alleged false information after issues surrounding the application came to light.
The case is part of ongoing legal proceedings, with the court expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the visa application and the role played by the travel agent.
