U.S. REVOKES CITIZENSHIP OF NIGERIAN-BORN WOMAN OVER FR¥UD

A Nigerian-born woman, Vivian Chike Obichere, has l0st her U.S. citizenship following a federal court ruling that she illegally obtained naturalization by c0ncealing important information about her past.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the court issued the order on October 13, 2026, and the announcement was made public on October 21.

The case dates back to 1992, when she reportedly used another person’s identity to obtain a U.S. passport. In 2012, she applied for American citizenship under her real name but den!ed using the other identity. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2013 and was c0nv!cted of passport-related offences in 2015.

The court has now rev0ked her naturalized citizenship following further legal proceedings. .
