Tragedy in the U.K: Nigerian Father of Two Passed Away Suddenly in His Sleep, Leaves Behind Young Family

A Nigerian man identified as Kayode Ogunbodede has reportedly passed away in his sleep in Swansea, Wales, on May 26, 2026.
According to reports, the late Kayode leaves behind his wife, who is currently a student, and their two young daughters aged 6 years and just 6 months old.
Family members, friends, and members of the Nigerian community in the U.K have described his passing as sudden and heartbreaking. He was said to be a devoted family man, calm, supportive, and always willing to help others.
Kayode was a member of Elim City Church in Swansea and the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
A GoFundMe appeal launched by Olatunde Owoeye Phoster revealed that funds raised will help support funeral arrangements, childcare, and household expenses for the grieving family, especially as his wife is currently unemployed.
At the time of this report, £480 had been raised out of the £18,000 target.
