Ontario Gives Pharmacists More Power to Treat Patients πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Big healthcare changes are coming in Ontario and it could make it much easier for people to get medical help without waiting days or weeks to see a doctor.
Starting in July, pharmacists across the province will be allowed to treat even more common health issues, including head lice, nasal congestion, ringworm, warts, and mild headaches.
The province is also expanding the types of vaccines pharmacists can give, including shots for tetanus, whooping cough, shingles, and RSV.
Ontario already allows pharmacists to treat several everyday conditions like UTIs, allergies, acne, eczema, and minor skin infections. Officials say more services could be added before 2027.
The government says the goal is to reduce pressure on hospitals and family doctors while helping people get faster care closer to home.
For many residents struggling to find a family doctor, this could be a major relief
