One Thing That Surprised Me About Baby Formula in Canada

As a new mom in Canada, one thing I’ve always wondered about is the limited variety of baby formula brands I seem to see in regular stores.

Back in Nigeria, I remember seeing so many different options — NAN, SMA Gold, My Boy, Lactogen, Aptamil and others. Some were even said to be imported.

So when I came to Canada, I honestly thought I would walk into different grocery stores and see many of the same brands I was familiar with back home. 😂

But nope. I kept checking different stores like, Maybe the next one will have them. 😅

Canada does have several approved infant formula brands, including Enfamil, Similac, Good Start and others, but the selection can definitely feel different from what many of us were used to seeing in Nigeria.
