My take on divorce and separating children from a parent.

I’m genuinely glad that Tonto Dikeh’s child has finally reunited with his dad after 10 years. That reunion really touched me.

Yes, two people can get divorced, marriages end. But why keep a child away from their parent? A man can fail as a husband and still be a good father. A woman can move on from a marriage and still encourage a healthy relationship between her child and their dad. Children should never be used as part of marital problems or punishments.

A child needs both parents in their life emotionally, mentally, and psychologically. This kind of separation happens a lot back home, sadly. Here in Canada, I’ve seen parents divorce and still remain cordial. They co-parent, attend events together, and put the children first and it shows in how balanced the kids grow up.

I’ve lived this personally. My kids were separated from their dad for some time before we finally joined him here, and I saw how deeply it affected them. Children feel that absence, even when we think they’re too young to understand.

If a parent is not a risk to their own child, they shouldn’t be kept away from them.
You’re free to move on. You’re free to heal. You’re free to start again.

But the children still deserve both parents in their lives to function fully and grow wholesomely.

Yeah, same here.It is not good for a child not to have a wholesome experience with both parents.

Thank God they have shield their swords.
