MOSES ITAUMA: TOMORROW, A YOUNG STAR FIGHTS FOR HEAVYWEIGHT GLORY

Tomorrow night, the boxing world turns its attention to London as 21-year-old Moses Itauma takes on Croatia’s Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF World Heavyweight Championship.

For many of us in the African diaspora, this is more than just another boxing match.

Born in Slovakia to a Nigerian father and Slovakian mother and raised in England, Moses represents a beautiful blend of cultures and backgrounds.

At just 21, he has already built an impressive 14–0 professional record, with 12 stoppages. A victory could see him become the second-youngest heavyweight world champion in history, behind the legendary Mike Tyson.

But standing across the ring will be an experienced and dangerous opponent. Filip Hrgovic is 20–1 and has faced some of the toughest names in the heavyweight division. This will be a serious test for Itauma.

Moses has speed, power, confidence and, most importantly, the opportunity to make history.

🇳🇬 Nigerian heritage
🇸🇰 Slovakian roots
🇬🇧 British upbringing

Tomorrow, many of us will be watching and cheering him on. Go make history, Moses. Nigeria is watching. Africa is watching. The world is watching.

What do you think, can Moses Itauma become the next heavyweight world champion?
