Good news for Canadians! Renewing your passport just got much easier.

Starting today, eligible Canadian adults can now renew their passports online, making the process faster and more convenient than ever.
To qualify, you must:
Have a Canadian address.
Have been at least 16 years old when your last passport was issued.
Have received your current or expired passport within the last 15 years.
Meet the other eligibility requirements.
You’ll still need to:
Get a passport photo taken by a commercial photographer.
Upload a digital copy of that photo with your online application.
The federal government says most new passports should arrive within 20 days, and you’ll be able to track your application in real time. Even better, if an eligible application takes more than 30 days, you may qualify for a reimbursement of your passport application fee.
This is a major step toward making government services more accessible and convenient for Canadians.
Would you use the new online passport renewal service, or do you still prefer applying in person?
