Funny How Life Moves On Before Rejection Catch Up
Yesterday, I got a notification from Indeed from an organization I applied to for a job 6 months ago.
They said they’re sorry and won’t be proceeding with my application.
Before now, messages like this used to ruin my mood for the whole day. I would overthink it, feel discouraged, and replay everything in my head.
But yesterday was different.
I smiled 😊
Not because I got the job but because I’ve moved on.
Honestly, I had to pause for a moment because I couldn’t even remember I once applied to that organization. Life has happened, growth has happened, and my focus has shifted.
And that’s when it hit me that sometimes, rejection is just life quietly telling you to keep moving. And sometimes, you’ve already moved so far that the rejection doesn’t even reach you anymore.
They should move on the same way I already moved on, at this point, we’ve both moved on 😄
For anyone job hunting at the moment, always remember this: every rejection is just a step closer to you landing a better opportunity.
I got 2 job offers in the same week after months of consistent applications and at the end of the day, I even rejected one of them 😀
So don’t give up. Your “yes” is already somewhere ahead of you, just keep showing up.
