Today, school resumes after a 2-week break, and the kids were up early excited and happy to be back in school, finally seeing friends they haven’t seen in weeks.

For me, it’s mixed feelings. Happy they’re back into routine but also a little anxious.

This month and the next couple of months will be very cold and chilly, and sometimes I catch myself thinking, shouldn’t schools be open during the summer and take holidays in winter instead?

Maybe it’s just a parent’s winter thoughts 😅
