Diaspora Life
Exactly 3 years ago, I stood at Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos with my three children and took this picture. That day was full of mixed emotions.

Exactly 3 years ago, I stood at Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos with my three children and took this picture. That day was full of mixed emotions.
I was happy because we were going to be reunited with my husband. But I was also sad. I was leaving behind my siblings, my comfort zone, my country Nigeria 🇳🇬
I didn’t know what life in Canada would look like for us. I didn’t know how the kids would adjust. I didn’t know how I would handle the cold, the culture, the changes.
Fast forward 3 years later, I haven’t visited Nigeria yet. But I can boldly say God has been so, so faithful. Life in Canada has been great.
Growth.
Learning.
New experiences.
New perspective.
Sometimes, obedience and faith will take you far from familiar places but closer to purpose.
How long have you been away from your home country? How has life been in your new country?
Do you have any regrets leaving?
May God grant everyone planning relocation a visa to their dream country in Jesus name Amen 🙏
