DID YOU KNOW THAT HAVING A U.S. VISA DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU ENTRY INTO AMERICA?

Many people celebrate when they finally get their U.S. visa, believing that the hardest part is over. But there is something every intending traveller should understand.
A U.S. visa allows you to travel to a U.S. port of entry and request permission to enter the country. It does not guarantee admission. The final decision rests with U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers when you arrive.
Interestingly, this principle also applies to countries like Canada, UK and others. Having a valid visa does not automatically guarantee entry; border officers assess whether you meet the country’s entry requirements when you arrive.
This is one reason some people prefer to keep their visa approvals private until they have travelled and successfully arrived at their destination. They may want to avoid pr€ssure, expectations or having to explain unexpected changes to their plans.
Getting a visa is an important milestone, but it is not the final step. Always ensure your documents are valid, your travel plans are consistent with your visa, and you meet the destination country’s entry requirements.
Do you share your visa approval news immediately, or do you prefer to wait until you arrive safely in your new country?
