ALBERTA SEPARATION TALK IS GETTING LOUDER BUT NOT STRONGER 🇨🇦

A new CBC News poll reveals something surprising: while Alberta’s separatist movement is making more noise, it isn’t actually gaining much ground.
According to the survey by Janet Brown Opinion Research, only 27% of Albertans say they would vote to leave Canada if a referendum were held today. A solid 67% would vote to stay, with a small number still undecided.
What’s even more interesting? These numbers have barely changed from last year.
Pollster Janet Brown says the movement may feel bigger right now because it’s louder especially online but the actual support behind it hasn’t grown.
Meanwhile, the “Stay Free Alberta” group claims it may have enough signatures to push for a referendum. But experts like Duane Bratt say the reality is clear: the movement hasn’t expanded.
There’s also a noticeable divide:
Most NDP supporters strongly oppose separation
About 57% of UCP supporters say they would support it
Even Alberta Premier Danielle Smith walks a careful line supporting a stronger Alberta, but still within Canada.
And here’s the kicker:
Only 9% of Albertans believe separation would actually succeed.
Most Albertans still aren’t ready to leave Canada.
What do you think is this just political noise, or something bigger brewing? Drop your thoughts below
