Age Is Just a Number: 79 Year Old Fulfills Lifelong Academic Dream

Angerline Day of Montgomery, Alabama, recently proved that it is never too late to learn by earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Troy University at age 79. While many peers her age focus on retirement, Day spent the last four years completing online coursework. She effectively demonstrated that age and traditional classroom settings are not barriers to success.
This accomplishment was the realization of a lifelong ambition. Although family responsibilities and career paths paused her education, her passion for psychology remained strong. At age 75, she chose to finally pursue that dormant dream.
Day’s journey serves as a powerful reminder against making excuses about age or timing. She overcame technology gaps and social expectations through steady, focused effort. Her success shows that if a dream persists, the opportunity to achieve it is still available.
For you it’s too early to give up. You can rewrite your story.
