Diaspora Life
Your environment influences your lifestyle.
More than a decade ago in Nigeria, while I was pregnant with my first child, I bought a stroller with so much excitement. I had a picture in my mind of the kind of mom I wanted to be. π
Well after my son was born, that stroller never made it outside. π Letβs say I was too shy to go out with it. It simply became his indoor chair while I did my house chores.
Don’t even ask me how I carried my baby around Lagos, especially on days my husband wasn’t around to drive us. Well he was always strapped on my back with a wrapper.
Fast forward to life in Canada, and that same stroller has become my go-to item whenever I’m stepping out with my baby.
Same mom. Different environment. Different lifestyle. π
Can anyone relate? What’s one baby item you bought that never really served the purpose you intended? π Let’s chat in the comments
