A Birthday That Became a Farewell: Help Bring Victor Home πŸ’”

His name was Olawunmi Victor Alabi a son, a husband, a father, a brother, and a pillar of his community.
Victor came to Canada in June 2024 with hope in his heart and dreams in his hands. Like many, he came seeking growth, opportunity, and a better future not just for himself, but for his family and the people of Ijaro in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.
He never got that chance.
On April 18, 2026 his own birthday, Victor’s life was suddenly and unexpectedly cut short. What should have been a day of celebration became a day of unimaginable grief. A family was shattered. Children lost their father. A community lost one of its own.
We are still in shock. We are still in tears.
Victor was not just a man, he carried a sacred responsibility in his community, a role deeply rooted in tradition and culture. According to the customs of his people, he must be laid to rest in his homeland in Ijaro, where his roots run deep, where his ancestors rest, and where his people are waiting to honor him properly.
But bringing him home from Canada comes at a heavy cost β€” one his grieving family cannot carry alone.
He leaves behind a devoted wife, precious children, a loving mother, and siblings who are now facing not only deep emotional pain but also the overwhelming financial burden of repatriation and burial.
Today, we ask for your help.
No amount is too small. Every single contribution brings Victor closer to home. Every share spreads hope.
If you have ever lost someone too soon.
If you know what it means to be far from home.
If you believe everyone deserves a dignified farewell.
Please support and share this campaign.
Victor deserved more time.
His family deserves support.
His community deserves the chance to say goodbye.
Rest in perfect peace, Victor. You came. You loved. You mattered.
Please donate and share. Every share is just as powerful as a donation.
